The Taunton Fire Department is looking for students who are looking for a place to stay while enrolled in any local college/university. Both stations are less than 3 miles from the OCC Main Campus.
Taunton Station 2 will be exclusively utilized as livable quarters for bunk-ins.
Bunk-ins will be provided with a bed, dresser and closet space
Meals are not included, but a fully functional kitchen is available for use
Laundry facilities on-sit
Bathroom and shower facilities (separate for men and women)
All similar amenities are also available at station 1 including a recreation and fitness room
Stations and Facilities
Bunk-ins are responsible for maintaining clean and orderly quarters
Kitchen and facilities may be used at any time for food storage and meal preparation. All dishes,utensils and appliances should be cleaned accordingly
Bunk-ins will be issued a key fob for access to both stations
Bunk-ins are permitted to park one personal vehicle at the fire station
Bunk-ins are encouraged to have reliable transportation to and from class and duty shifts.
Personal Protective Equipment
All bunk-ins will be issued approved personal protective equipment for use on fire, rescue and EMS incidents
Your PPE will be stored in your assigned locker in the apparatus bays
Your PPE will be used while operation with the Taunton Fire Department as well as classes
You may wear personal equipment such as leather helmet and boots with the permission of the bunk-in coordinator and the Fire Chief.
You are responsible for the care and maintenance of your PPE
You will recieve department issued uniforms for duty shirts and classes
